#2 A healthy, well-rounded diet is also vital to having radiant, healthy skin. “Good fat,” essential fatty acids, are particularly important to beautiful, healthy skin. These fats are needed to build cell membranes, hormones, and other body chemicals. Lack of essential fatty acids can lead to eczema, acne and dry skin, so they are particularly important to people with inflammatory conditions such as eczema and acne, or dry skin. People with essential fat deficiency sometimes notice bumps on the backs of their arms. In addition, eating food that is rich in fiber helps in good digestion and eliminates constipation. This removes the root of many skin problems like acne, psoriasis, and spotty skin.
Sugar is an enemy to your beautiful skin! Most people do not realize that excess sugar is considered one of the main causes of premature aging. The more sugar that is consumed, the more sugar enters the bloodstream. Over time, this can result in a process known as glycation, which is when a glucose (sugar) molecule damages a protein molecule by sticking to it. The new molecules formed are called advanced glycation end-products, or AGEs. AGEs damage collagen in skin, cartilage, and ligaments and promote a loss of elasticity. Wrinkles form and skin begins to sag.
