Testimonial 4
My 25-year-old daughter, Christina, was using over-the-counter
cosmetics to clean her face. Since she
has oily skin, she tended toward the “scrubby” cleaners and
astringents. After a while her skin reacted
to (or possibly rebelled against) these cleansers. She developed a
rosacea type rash and it actually
hurt to wash her face. It became so bad she stopped using soap
altogether but then the oils in her skin
became overacting and soon pimples and black heads were what she was
contending with. I sent her a
few bars of organic soap but they too irritated her skin.
One day, my husband brought home a few samples of Garland Goat Soap of
Vermont, made by the
same family that milks the cow that gives us delicious, creamy, raw
(unpasteurized) milk. I discovered
that this bar of soap lathered up instantly and felt soft and creamy in
my hands. It felt good on the skin
of my face too, removed makeup and even for me, a 55+ woman with very
dry skin. I told my daughter
to forget the on-line products she was reviewing (costing over $12 a
bar) and quickly mailed her my
other
bar of lavender-scented soap.
She tried it. In about a week, her acne had cleared up, the blackheads
were gone and she was able to
apply moisturizer without it burning. Garland Goat Soap of Vermont Has
a ph level close to the ph in
our skin and so it makes sense to me that this soap did not further
irritate her skin. When I saw my
daughter on Mother’s Day, a little over a week later, her skin was
clear and smooth, beautiful.
We
love Garland Goat Soap. It is a wonderful product made in small batches
by loving hands. To all the
soap makers in the Moore family, thank you.
